(Rattie)

Species: red panda
Status: alive

Cheeky Flofi was born with two dexterous, fluffy tails, which she uses to pull off daring stunts. In public, she keeps them bundled together to pass as a single, unusually large tail. A childhood accident, in which her tails were accidentally set aflame by friends, left her with an intense phobia of fire.

Born in 1946 AA in the slums of Bramble Hollow of Sithis, Cheeky was the third child of Marlo and Ysolde, a pair of aging red panda street performers who scraped by in the shadow of Sidril. Though destitute, her family carried the legacy of a once-proud theatrical lineage—ancestors who had performed in grand courts before fading into obscurity. With dwindling audiences and the rise of mechanized entertainment, they resorted to busking in the city’s marketplace, where Cheeky’s earliest memories took shape.

By seven, she had joined their act. Agile, sharp-witted, and blessed with impeccable comedic timing, she quickly became the star of the show. Unlike her parents, who relied on traditional puppetry and storytelling, Cheeky incorporated acrobatics, sleight of paw, and biting satire, drawing larger crowds than her family had seen in decades. Her irreverent humor, often aimed at pompous merchants and unsuspecting nobles, earned her both coin and trouble in equal measure.

At fifteen, she struck out on her own, crafting a one-mammal act that blended physical comedy, mimicry, and death-defying stunts. Her sharp tongue and quick reflexes made her a legend in streets of the Vanward Cities, and soon, whispers of "Cheeky Flofi" spread beyond her homeland.

Her fate took a dramatic turn in 1966 AA when, during an unannounced royal visit, she launched into a scathing (and hilarious) impersonation of King Aldric the Stalwart of Kragfell—unaware that the king himself stood among the crowd. The audience roared with laughter—until the royal guard seized her, dragging her before his majesty. Expecting execution, Cheeky was stunned when the king, amused by her audacity, recommended her for the position of Royal Jester of Tormurghast.

Within the gilded halls of Castle Titus, Cheeky flourished. She donned the official motley of the Queen Marsenn’s Fool—adorned with bells and embroidered sigils—but remained as untamed as ever. More than just an entertainer, she became a trusted confidante to the House of Carva, a voice of truth veiled in humor, and a political wildcard whose antics could defuse even the tensest negotiations.

Yet she never forgot her roots. Disguising herself, she often slipped back into the streets to perform and distribute coin to struggling artists and orphans. Her influence grew, much to the frustration of stuffy nobles who frequently found themselves the butt of her jokes.
